Thinking of Peace

When I think of peace I think a society completely opposite ours. For some reason I think of a little earth covered completely with a soccer field. I think of music with meaningful lyrics and a nice beat. I think of my "thinking time" before I go to sleep. I think of when I was little, after school I would do my homework right away so I could have more time to see television, eat supper on the living room floor laying on my stomach and enjoying the afternoon, stress free. I think of my mom being home in the afternoon, not having to work her ass off. I think of the possibility of still balancing off the violence in the world today. I think of a tomorrow with no guns, no drug dealing, no hate, no money, no power, no territory disputes. I think of my grandma’s house, where the rosters crow, with the smell of warm tortillas in the air or any handmade food for that matter. I think of humble people. I think of a quite relaxing place, my room. Most of all I think of the park on a sunny or chilly day, it really doesn’t matter as long as it’s not freezing like these past days, especially with music, a soccer ball, and the field. I think of looking at the stars and discovering that if your sight stays still more and more stars will appear. I think of laying down looking at the sky and watching the clouds go by. I think of making out figures with the clouds. I think of sitting down with the family to watch a movie. I think family time is peaceful. I think about just being with my friends having a good time either playing video games or watching movies. I think about driving around with music singing out loud. I think peace is an idea.
Peace is after you take your last breath.....

  2. I agree with you, it seems like once we go into the early stages of teen hood and adulthood, the true face of society is shown and we see the world a little different each time and its not like before when we were little kids when all we had to worry about was about having fun and just enjoying the simple pleasures in life.

  3. I think your idea of Peace has been probably the best one I've read so far. It makes me miss being little, and regret ever wanting to go grow up.

  4. Its ironic how when you are small you want to grow up but once you do you realize that its not all its cut out to be. You are definitely right on many accounts. I can not even recall a day my parents haven worked hard. Things like these make you realize that peace is almost non existent.

  8. I love the way you think about peace because you wrote it like with your experiences and it is really creative. By the way I like what you said that you used to make homework fast to have the afternoon only to lay down, I also did that haha.
